Daye Special Steel has had its rotary hearth furnace dried off successfully.

The Hubei Province’s iron and zinc-bearing solid waste to energy project was built by CISDI to an EPC mode.

The furnace turns all dusts to resources in a green, highly-efficient way.

Dusts are harnessed from the plant’s bag filters and its ironmaking casthouse, plus BOF, EAF and LF dust collection systems. Other recyclable elements are captured from iron-bearing sludges.

The treatment line, which can achieve an annual capacity of 200,000 tonnes, has CISDI’s latest efficient, low-consumption and digital RHF at its core.

With a self-reliant smart control platform, the line is China’s first to operate with deep integration and collaboration throughout process, equipment, control, production and maintenance.

The line’s innovative design created an integrated main workshop building. With the aid of 3D collision detection, the layout of main process and utility facilities was optimised. Improving on available space saved on investment costs.

CISDI’s team is currently onsite, giving continued technical assistance to ensure the line ramps up on schedule.
