CISDI Thermal and Environmental Engineering Co is to build a rotary heath furnace at Jinxi New Materials Tech Co.

It will be the second of its kind in China’s Hebei Province.

The project includes a rotary hearth furnace with an annual treatment capacity of 250,000 tonnes and a cold briquetting line with 60,000 tonnes of annual treatment capacity.

CISDI Thermal’s Solid Waste Treatment Tech cluster will apply to the two lines and treat existing zinc-bearing dusts in a green, highly-efficient way.

Jinxi’s dusts and ashes have a high zinc content. This is mainly generated from the blast furnace ironmaking process’s bag filters and its gravity dust collectors, plus basic oxygen furnace melting’s secondary and tertiary dust collection systems. BOF melting’s primary dust collection system can also be treated if required.

The project will result in an optimal overall recovery of iron and zinc resources from solid wastes.

Metallised pellets featuring a high content and grade of iron will be produced and all zinc will be removed from dusts.
