Smart steelmaking at VALIN V-Cloud

CISDI Information Technology Co is to create an integrated industrial internet platform and steelmaking plant at VALIN Hengyang in China’s Hunan Province.

VALIN’s internet, steel and green and intelligent business company V-Cloud placed the order to CISDI. 

The CISDigital Shuitu Cloud industrial internet platform will operate as a unified digital base, enabling a deep fusion with the 18 main processes from EAF to LF, VD and CCM and with the 14 supporting facilities, which includes dedusting and water treatment systems. 

To help VALIN attain its long-term green and digital objectives, CISDI will build the smart steelmaking manufacturing system on a concept of digital, lean production management. 

Three priority areas are proposed - production process tracking, production procedure management and full-process digital control.

The smart steelmaking manufacturing system will also support a future extension to ironmaking and rolling systems via a single-data centre or a multi-cloud. 

Its data fusion, procedure collaboration and knowledge-driven continuous upgrading will lay a solid foundation for VALIN’s digital construction.
