CISDI to build China’s first smart, digital wide plate rolling line for HNIS Zhoukou

CISDI is to build China’s first digital and smart wide plate rolling line at Henan Iron and Steel Group’s Zhoukou Plant.

CISDI’s mills and services will create a modern wide plate production line with the widest specification and variety in the world.

Step 1 of this line will feature dual stands in a specification of 5,600mm and 5,500mm. Annual production capacity will be 2.20 million tonnes.

Its main products will be used for shipbuilding and marine engineering, wind power towers, bridges and building structures, construction machinery and pipelines.

Some 80 percent of plates produced will feature medium-carbon structural and alloy structural steel grades.
