CISDI wins first stockyard construction at Beiying Steel

CISDI has won its first green stockyard order from Beiying Steel, part of the Ansteel Group, in China’s Liaoning Province - a breakthrough for references of this kind in the country’s north-east market.

CISDI’s model C stockyard will be built at Beiying’s plant and will have around 327,000 tonnes of storage capacity.

When awarding the contract, Beiying Steel applauded CISDI’s “technical strength, services and big-picture awareness”.

CISDI assembled a dedicated marketing and technology team as soon as Beiying’s enquiry landed. Two years were spent on surveying site conditions and combing through systematic flows in search of previously experienced production problems.

Logistics, earthwork and foundation treatment, and issues facing construction on the mountainous landform, were analysed and solutions presented.

As a result, a full gamut of technical solutions to the general layout was proposed, along with feasibility studies, site selections and economic comparisons.
