CISDI’s green stockyard is now operational at Baosteel Desheng Stainless Steel Co in China’s Fujian Province.

It lays a solid foundation for super efficient, cost effective production to optimum quality and ULE standards at Desheng’s sintering, lime calcinating and blast furnace ironmaking plants.

CISDI’s patented ECIA-M closed stockyard and ECIA-B closed blending yard constitute the main part of the eco-friendly bulk material handling project, plus truck transport, proportioning, lump ore screening and feeding systems.

The ECIA-M features individually-closed bins and membrane-roofed bunkers to achieve a total storage capacity of around 350,000 tonnes. Zoned stores serve different raw materials and fuels - ores, coal and fluxes - and improve storage efficiency and eco-friendliness.

It creates double the storage capacity of conventional designs, at the same time decreasing land use by 60 per cent.

Systematic clean solutions have helped enhance Desheng stockyard’s green levels. Ultra-low emissions have been achieved at loading and unloading procedures, in transportation and transfer, in the yard and the surrounding environment.
