China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has announced the nation’s best industrial internet pilot and demo projects in 2021.

CISDI’s integrated intelligent upstream-ironmaking control platform and application is on the list for its innovative achievements in four critical technologies:

-        the first of its kind in the world, intelligent controls from stockyard, coking and sintering to ironmaking at a steel plant

-        based on big data technology

-        long distance, massive centralised control for complicated, process-featured manufacturing

-        analysis and optimisation model.

CISDI Information Tech Co has taken technological leadership of the research and development and applications.

The team's rich experience in steel engineering was combined with the internet of things, big data and artificial intelligence expertise.

The platform was first applied at Baowu Shaogang, and has since seen demo implementations at Baowu Maanshan Steel and NISCO.

Conventional control has been transformed to intelligent, integrated and centralised levels, creating the most effective synergy between industrial internet tech and steels.

The platform has been awarded 15 patents for invention, three patents for utility model and 45 software copyrights. CISDI’s experts have published 54 papers.
