After successfully creating Baowu Shaogang’s blast furnaces 6 and 8 at its site in China's Guangdong Province, CISDI are now ploughing ahead with the rebuild of blast furnace 7.

CISDI’s CEO Peng Xiao, present at the construction launch, said: “We will go all-out to revamp the furnace to the highest green and intelligent standards and quality requirements and increase its output and lifespan.”

CISDI’s expert team is applying BIM designs which, in addition to improving the project’s digital levels, will also facilitate digital construction management.

The revamp will also focus on combining the latest intelligent manufacturing technology with conventional production technology. CISDI has designed an intelligent upgrade methodology which encompasses smart decision-making, operation control and production.

Peng Xiao stated CISDI’s commitment to ensuring high-quality. Design and construction resources are well-organised, all drawings have been fully cross-checked, specialist technical assistance is being dedicated to the project and project management is painstakingly detailed.
