CISDI to build Baowu Aluminium’s green energy project

A groundbreaking green energy project for China’s metal industry is moving forward.

CISDI and Baowu Clean Energy Co. joined forces earlier this year on a strategic cooperation framework agreement and have now signed on the first construction project.

Integrating green energy into metal-making processes will contribute to China’s goal of capping carbon dioxide emissions by 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality by 2060.

The project, for which CISDI is the EPC-based contractor, will feature 11.03MWp distributed roof photovoltaic power generation, 50kW/100kWh energy storage, DC smart lighting and intelligent management systems.

CISDI will maximise green energy usage and rely on intelligent, super-efficient control tech to improve cost effectiveness throughout Baowu Aluminium’s clean energy technological upgrade and its energy market trade.

Rather than site extensive photovoltaic panels and facilities on land, the roof of Baowu Aluminium’s workshop will be used to harness solar power.

CISDI will be tapping ideas for the energy project from its current engineering projects for wind, light, stored and hydrogen energies.

It is stepping up its research and development of these green energies, its industrial chain-based systematic tech and core equipment and is enthusiastic about playing a key role in creating savings for customers and protecting China’s waterways and green mountains.
