Intelligent Steelmaking

Date:2020/12/23 Source: CISDI

CISDI is a driving force in connecting ironmaking and steelmaking, and steelmaking with rolling procedures.

Control models have been built for the entire metal-making process, from the hot metal desulphurisation centre to the basic oxygen furnace, ladle furnace, RH furnace and continuous caster.

CISDI is currently creating an integrated, centralised meltshop control platform at China’s Yongfeng Steel. It will achieve big data-based quality control and optimise cost analysis and scheduling.

iLance for a BOF intelligent control system

Visual identification, intellisense, machine learning and big data technologies are fused into conventional steelmaking models to enable assessment of BOF control planning, splashing forecast and melting monitor.

CISDI’s iLance is an automated product which creates super-stability during the BOF’s melting process and end point. It is also uniquely effective in alleviating splashes of the vessel.

Together, iLance and BOF intelligent control system reduce production costs, improve product quality and stability and enhance production safety.

BOF intelligent tapping control system

BOF automated tapping applies tech for visual identification, intelligent measurement and model control. It negates the need for manpower in areas with severe working conditions, including high temperatures, radiation and dusty atmospheres.

The tapping control level and tapped liquid steel quality are greatly improved.

Strand quality online diagnosis and control

Quality information is real-time forecast on strand’s surface transversal and longitudinal cracks, corner crack, centreline crack, intermediate crack and triangular crack, and central segregation and solidification structure.

This tech performs with world-class functions and indicators.
