CISDI and Xinghua Fortune partner up to transform Longgang

Longgang’s steel and intelligence projects in China’s Fujian Province are to be modernised with the combined expertise of CISDI and Xinghua Fortune Group.

The two companies signed a strategic co-operation agreement at a recent meeting in Chongqing.

Longgang is located at the Zhangping Steel Industrial Park in Longyan City, a starting point of the Belt and Road Initiative. It boasts a thoroughfare connecting the coast and hinterlands and is seen as a driver for economic development in the region.

A demo Smart Factory is to be sited at Longgang’s 600-hectare plot.

Under the agreement framework, CISDI’s intelligence and information technology will transform the steel industrial chain, production and business models.

With its basic projects and process flows re-engineered, Longgang’s modernisation will feature automation, intelligence and information technology-based management and enable the plant to produce tailored prime products.
